Description
Swedish South Polar Expedition 1901-1903. The Swedish Relief Expedition, postcard with the rare expedition cachet “ANTARKTISKA UNDSÄTTNINGSEXPEDITIONEN” dated “Ushuaia 1903 Nov.20” and signed by the expedition officers: Olof Gyldén (Captain), Axel Blom (First Officer), J Menander, S R Bergendahl (Third Officer), Jan Torgersruud (Doctor), A Klinckowström (Scientist), addressed to Buenos Aires and franked with an Argentine 2 c. stamp tied by "USHUAIA 3.DICI 1903" cds. and with "BUENOS AIRES DICI.13 1903" arrival cds.
