    Description
    Unique Ichang to Scotland Opened-out envelope from Ichang to Edinburgh, Scotland originally bearing on reverse with three thick paper 1-candarin Large Dragon stamps cancelled with black chinese "Ichang" Customs oval seal chop, with "CUSTOMS ICHANG AP.10. 85" and "CUSTOMS SHANGHAI AP.19.85" transit c.d.s. alongside. One Large Dragon stamp was cut off and another one torn off, leaving only the scraps and the stamp with left margin from cliche 7. On front with 5c strip of 5 France Peace and Commerce stamps cancelled with "SHANGHAI/CHINE 24. AVRIL 85" c.d.s. (last one cut out). Edinburgh JU 3. arrival on reverse. Large Dragon covers from Ichang are extremely rare, less than five covers have been recorded so far and this is the only one addressed to a destination in Europe.
