Description
An extensive and very specialised collection 1853 - 1940 incl. interesting "back of the book" + a few later specialised pages. Nicely mounted in two elegant albums, starting with some prephilatelic covers, from 1853 onwards most issues also with one or a few covers and often shades, types, cancellations etc. Though the quality is mixed it contains many good stamps and covers. The perforated issues from 1867 onwards are very specialised in perforations etc. incl. two copies 240 r. 1873, with a few short perfs. Also various reprints, proofs, varities etc. PLEASE INSPECT.

Undercover air mail letter from Consular General Viggo Beckmann P.O. Box 164 in Lisbon 14.1.1941 to The Faroes. Beckmann operated a similar service like the famous P.O. Box 506. British censor label. VERY RARE.
