Description
Complete & Specialised Collection 1850-1963 A fantastic collection in two elegant Lighthouse albums. Partly specialised through the album pages and also a lot of extra pages made up by the collector. The quality is a bit mixed, especially in the early parts, but many beautiful and high quality stamps, a large number of certificates are included. Beautiful unused copies of the first set as well as used, e.g. Mi. 1y ** (cert.), many copies Mercury incl. two yellow, the 2nd is type Ib, both with small faults and certs Ferchenbauer. Further on a lot of specialisation, diff. types, used and unused, many **, Mi. No.l 23 with margin at bottom, 49a & 49b **, 1908 Jubilee set ** incl. 10 kr. and others on the rare grey paper. Thereafter most seem to be **, e.g. Express stamp 1917, Mi. 219C, in ** pair, the lower stamp with an extra perf. line, covered with a red annulation line, cert. Ferchenbauer & Stastny, WIPA 1933 on both papers + minisheet, Dolfuss **, Mi. VI-VII (unissued 1946) ** and Renner 1946 in a set as well as the sheetlets**. Back of the book is strong with a specialised Postage Due section, an unusual page with Court Delivery Stamps, some fiscal stamps incl. a cover, Telegraph stamps incl. 60 kr. 1873 small faults (cert.), good Newspaper Tax Stamps etc. From other areas an important part from Lombardy and Venetia incl. a 30 c. canc. on the 2nd Day, 2.6 1850 with cert., many good unused stamps with original gum, e.g. Mi. Nos 1 (Sassone 1i), 11II, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18 etc. Fiscal stamps, not 50 c., 10 c. with small faults and a good 75 c., both with certs., also two covers. Levant is also specialised and there is a small section Donau Steam Navigation Co. incl. a cover.
